Welcome to week one of the EDT4OL course!

Dear [First Name]Welcome to the ‘Empowered digital teacher for online learning’ course. In this first weekly e-mail, we’ll focus on instructions for the learning challenges in week one:

• EDT4OL Session 0 – Establish your PLE
• EDT4OL Session 1 – Interactive learning with H5P
• EDT4OL Session 2 – Developing a storyboard

Establish your PLE

In this session, you will create accounts on websites to establish your digital Personal Learning Environment (PLE), so that you can connect with your community during and after the course.Please continue to:
1.    Establish your PLE by creating the website accounts you will need
2.    Familiarise yourself with the EDT4OL platform
3.    Use a password manager for the online tools used in this course
4.    Enrol in the EDT4OL Moodle course
5.    Create Forums account and complete spot poll
6.    Create account on EDT4OL social media site and post first messageImportant note:​ To log into the EDT4OL Moodle site, use this enrolment key: EDT2022. ​(All letters are in capitals.)​​​

Interactive learning with H5P

In this session, you will create interactive online learning activities using H5P software.Please continue to:
1.    Work through the learning materials and activities
2.    Complete the H5P interactive learning challenge. Remember to use the checklist before you submit the link to your work in Moodle, to make sure it meets the minimum requirements for the badge.
3.    Finally, complete the quiz in preparation for the course knowledge test.

Developing a storyboard

In this session, you will publish a storyboard for a sub-section of an online course website.Please continue to:
1.    Work through the learning materials and activities
2.    Complete the storyboard challenge. Don’t forget to include a self-assessment of your work.
3.    Next, complete the quiz in preparation for the course knowledge test.
