Digital Literacies for Online Learning (LiDA101)

Learn how to learn on the Internet

LiDA101 is a free, online, open education micro-course where you will improve your digital literacies using a range of open technologies, and improve search strategies to identify and select relevant open access resources to research, analyse, produce and present information for tertiary education purposes. LiDA101 is one of four micro-courses for Learning in a Digital Age (LiDA).

Benefits of taking this micro-course include opportunities to:
  • Maintain a personal learning environment online to support your learning.
  • Evaluate the legitimacy of open access materials you find online and improve your digital skills and academic literacies necessary for success in tertiary education.  
  • Earn a digital badge and/or certificate for participation.
  • Gain certified micro-credentials in digital literacies for online learning via Edubits.
  • Gain credit towards an exit qualification at first year university level:
    1. Undergraduate Certificate in First Year Foundations (TESU), USA; or
    2. Certificate Higher Education Business (OERu), (University of the Highlands and Islands), UK.
