This session continues with the coding activities. First you'll look at
Sliders, typically used to select a value along a continuous range, and understand the WAI-ARIA attributes needed to turn what is normally a form, into a widget with slider semantics when accessed with a screen reader.
Next you'll look at
Accordion widgets, which are used in most cases to condense content into a smaller area, with toggles to expand and collapse sections of the accordion, being sure this can be accomplished using only a keyboard (while maintaining mouse functionality). Like accordions,
Tab Panels are also typically used to conserve space, selecting from a series of Tabs, to display the content on its associated Panel.
Finally you'll take a look at a
Carousel widget, typically used to rotate through a series of slides, and add the required WAI-ARIA attributes and keyboard access to make it usable with a screen reader.
